The editorial board of the magazine publishes formatting guidelines for manuscripts. We would also appreciate it if you could send us any propositions and remarks concerning the content and layout of our magazine. Authors shall assume responsibility and guarantee that this manuscript has never been published before, that it is not under consideration for the purpose of being published by another outlet, as well as, in case this manuscript is accepted, it will not be published in the same form by another outlet, in Russian or in any other language.
Written notice will be given to authors concerning acceptance of their manuscripts for further publication in the magazine.
Postgraduate students shall not be charged for publishing of manuscripts.
Authors shall file with the editorial board filled-in and signed original copies of documents: license agreement and transfer/acceptance statement for the article. Visit www.chemprom.org for document templates.
Electronic copy of the Appendix to the article must be filed with the editorial board in a separate file. Appendix must contain (in Russian and English languages): title of the article, names of authors, name of the organization, summary and keywords. It must also contain brief information (only in Russian) about authors of the article, specifying their employers, positions and contact info. (for more details see below).
The article must be printed on one side of white À4paper with 2 ñì margins on each side of the page. The text must be formatted in one column. Any manuscripts printed on sheets of paper bigger than À4 (210õ297) will not be considered..
Full postal address, fax number, telephone number and email address for the author all the correspondence should be addressed to must be specified in the footnote on the first page.
Editors reserve the right to edit the style of any manuscript submitted.
Authors must keep copies of their manuscripts as the editorial board shall not be liable for any damage or loss of documents. The editorial board does not return any manuscripts.
The article must be signed by authors on the last page or after Bibliography. The article must be accompanied by a cover letter – the organization’s referral. One hard (paper) copy of the article and its electronic copy must be submitted to the editorial board.
Submission of an electronic copy of the article is mandatory for the article to be published. Acceptable file formats: DOC (documents Word 97 - 2003), RTF;DOCX is not recommended!
An electronic copy must be submitted on CDs èëè DVDs, or by email to firstname.lastname@example.org
It is recommended to use standard file compression software ZIP, RAR, ARJ for transmission of materials. One must not use self-extracting archives because they will be deleted.
• Universal Decimal Classification (UDC), Title, Authors (first surname, then initials), Organization authors belong to, Keywords, Summary (in Russian and English languages), Main text of the article, Legend (if any), Bibliography (it is mandatory), List of captions to all illustrations/figures, Tables, Illustrations/figures, Appendix to the article – separate file.
The title of the article must be formatted in lower-case letters and must not have a period in the end. CAPITALIZING (USING UPPER-CASE LETTERS) the title or subheadings in the article is unacceptable!
If several teams of authors are involved, authors’ affiliation with different organizations must be specified under the title of the article with relevant teams of authors alternating with relevant organizations.
Authors’ initials must be indicated after their surnames. The author any correspondence should be addressed to must be marked by an asterisk with the footnote containing full contact info.
The main text of the article must be preceded by Keywords and a brief Summary. Summary mus and contain an introduction, aims and objectivest be both in Russian and English.
Keywords and Summary must be placed at the beginning of the article, after the title and the list of authors, and must begin with the words Keywords è Summary, respectively, in bold type.
The structure of the abstract should if possible to repeat the article structure and contain an introduction, aims and objectives, results and discussion, conclusion/resume.
The information contained in the title should not be repeated in the abstract. The abstract shall not contain references and abbreviations. The volume of the abstract should be between 100 to 250 words.
Figures and tables must not be included in the main text of your article! They must be embedded after the main text of the article and bibliography (or in a separate file). But: captions to figures and titles of tables must be äîëæíû áûòü (in addition to the list on a separate page) included in the text immediately after the paragraph with the first reference to any given figure (table). . References to any figure or table in the text must be typed in italics and without abbreviations, for instance: figure 1, or table 2.
The recommended font for the article is Times New Roman 14 pt, with double vertical line spacing.
The main text must not contain subheadings of more than two levels. The recommended font for the title of the article is Times New Roman 16 pt.
The recommended font for 1st and 2nd level subheadings is Times New Roman 14 pt è Times New Roman 14 pt (italics) respectively. Continuous numbering is acceptable, yet not recommended.
All pages of the manuscript must be numbered, including the first page, in the right top corner.
Formulas and individual valuables created in Equation editor (MathType or Microsoft Equation) or any other graphic editor must not be included in paragraphs! Only ordinary text (use symbols and letters from default WinWord fonts) must be used in paragraphs.
We would also like to draw authors’ attention to the use of hyphen (-) and dash (-), according to the Russian language standards, and ask them to avoid using the dash unreasonably. In WinWord, dash may be added by the combination of "Ctrl"+"-" ("-" on a digital keyboard).
Equations included in the text must be placed in individual paragraphs with the text aligned to the left. Ordinal numbers of equations must be specified in round brackets on the right to any given equation.
In WinWord, it is acceptable to use Equation editors such as MathType, Microsoft Equation, to create formulae, yet only for equations and formulae in individual paragraphs!
It is unacceptable to use Using WinWord 2007’s (or later versions) native editor to create formulae!
The maximum length of any equation is 12 cm (because the text column in the magazine is approximately two times narrower than A4). Any mathematical expression may be broken and transferred to the next line according to standards.
The list of variables and constants used must be included in Legend (after the main text of the article before Bibliography).
Units and dimensions of quantity: Units and dimensions of quantity used by authors in the text of the article must be cited in accordance with the International System of Units. CGS units may only be used in exceptional, expressly stated circumstances. In references to authentic articles from foreign publications, it is recommended to add SI units in brackets to English units.
Bibliography is mandatory for the article to be published.
Any references to publications must be cited in the text in square brackets and in bold type together with brackets (for instance,  or [4-7]).

In an electronic form, figures must be provided in tif or bmp format (jpeg is not recommended) with at least 300 dpi resolution. Recommended size of images is at least 1500 pixels in the smallest side (for page proofs figures will be reduced to a necessary size). The title of any file that contains any given figure must reflect its ordinal number (for instance, fig 1.tif).
It is recommended to reproduce all the illustrations in an electronic form as figures embedded in the WinWord document. In this case it is appropriate to embed figures in the WinWord file copying them directly from the application they have been created in. Figures must not be included in the text of the article; they must be included after Bibliography (or in a separate file).
In a hard (paper) copy, illustrations must be the same size the author expects them to be in a printed impression. Titles must be specified under every figure or on the reverse side.
Poor-quality, out-of-focus images, where individual components are impossible to make out, as well as hand-drawn and then scanned illustrations are unacceptable!
Colour illustrations are acceptable. However, authors must be aware that pale-coloured details will be barely discernible and may become almost invisible after being converted in the magazine’s black and white format.
All illustrations in the article, including charts and diagrams, must be specified as ‘figures’ and cited in a consecutive order.
All figures must have titles. Title example: Fig. 1. Dependence of changes in concentration…
In an electronic copy of the article titles of figures must be specified on a separate page (after Bibliography) and under every illustration (if they are embedded in the Word file). They must also be specified in the text of the article just after the paragraph, in which any given figure is mentioned for the first time.
All tables must be embedded after the main text of the article and bibliography (or in a separate file) but not included in the text.
Tables must be created in the WinWord format. Tables must be cited in a consecutive order and have relevant titles. Example of the title: Table 1. Results of calculations of the column…
Every table must be printed on an individual page. It is unacceptable to abbreviate the word ‘table’ in the title or the text of the article. Footnotes must be included after the table and numbered using capital Cyrillic letters (à, á, â…).
Tables must not reproduce any results provided in the manuscript in any other form (for instance, in figures).
Once again – any captions to figures and titles of tables must be (in addition to the list of captions on an individual page) are cited in the text in a separate paragraph just after the paragraph, in which any given figure or table is mentioned for the first time!
